The Romantic City of Heidelberg

So we arrived late in Heidelberg Friday night. Here we had the evening to do homework and prepare for leaving on our trips the next day. Saturday morning though we toured the Heidelberg Castle, and then shopped Down Town for a few hours. Here are some pictures of Heidelberg. The Castle has four different architecture types, I remember Gothic and Renaissance.

These are HUGE wine barrels about 20-30 feet tall

This area of Germany is famous for it white wine

 

Look how big it is compared to the people at the bottom of it

 

They had to do this to make pieces of wood so it would reach all the way around the barrel
