My Mom often refers to a story about when they lived in Germany over 30 years ago. My grandparents were visiting them and they were touring Europe with my parents. They were in German city and were walking on the roofs of the buildings. They went past two guards, which wasn't that unusual of a thing to see. After about an hour, they started back past the guards. The guards stopped them, and asked for their passports. They had crossed into Austria with out even realizing it! Thankfully my Mom had everyone's passport, and they could get back to their hotel in Germany. She often reminded me to keep my passport on me at all times.
The elder Mrs. Beach took me and four other ladies from her church to the Czech Republic today, as a day trip. We crossed the border, shopped, ate lunch at an amazing restaurant, and started back home. After we had crossed the border back into Germany, we got pulled over by a German Police Car. We didn’t think we had done anything wrong, and didn’t know what we were being stopped for. The Policeman came to the driver’s door and asked for ALL our passports, not just the drivers. These Missionaries have been to the Czech Republic and back over 25 times and never been stopped before. Only three out of six of us (including me) actually had our passports. We sat in the car for about 40 minutes and waited and waited. We were looking at the car and could see no signs on it stating it was a police car, and the police men didn’t have on uniforms. A couple of us thought that when first stopped, the policeman had showed us Police ID, but we weren’t positive. We prayed! They came back and said that they would follow us out of their district, and give us our ID’s back, but that they were letting us off easy, and that they should be fining each person who didn't have their passport 25 Euro’s each. It really worried us that they were following us, not us following them, especially because we couldn’t see any police markings on the car. We trusted God, and drove where they told us too, and they actually followed. Then they gave us our passports and other ID’s back and warned us again not to travel over the border without passports again. It turned out that they were plain clothes policemen, in an unmarked car at least that is what we think they are. Our verse for this day and trip turned out to be: Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Have fun when traveling, but travel WITH your passports ON you at ALL times, and Trust God!

The Three Wells
The Middle Well, the little sign with the triangle in it warns about not climbing down into the well because of CO2 gas
Looking up the road, with the shops and restaurants on each side
Marker thanking the USA Troops that liberated this city
The floor below us in the restaurant was glass, with different kinds of Koi swimming below us

An interesting Statue in the city, looks like a basket of fruit, with grapes hanging off the corners
Everything is covered in snow!
